  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1 ½ cups warm water
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh herbs (such as rosemary and thyme)
  • 1 ½ cups shredded cheese (such as mozzarella or cheddar)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix warm water with sugar and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add flour, salt, and olive oil to the yeast mixture. Knead until smooth.
  3. Let the dough rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
  4. Mix garlic and herbs together, then punch down the dough and roll it out.
  5. Spread the garlic herb mixture and cheese over the dough, then roll it into a log.
  6. Place in a greased loaf pan and let it rise for another 30 minutes.
  7. Bake at 375°F for 30-35 minutes, or until golden brown.
  8. Let cool before slicing.
