Steak & Queso Rice

Steak & Queso Rice is a luxurious comfort food that combines tender steak with creamy queso over a bed of rice.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound flank steak
  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 1 cup queso blanco
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Season the flank steak with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Sear the steak for 4-5 minutes per side or until desired doneness.
  4. Remove steak from the skillet and let it rest before slicing.
  5. In the same skillet, add cooked rice and stir to combine.
  6. Top the rice with queso and let it melt slightly.
  7. Slice the steak and place it on top of the queso rice.
  8. Garnish with chopped cilantro before serving.
