Spiced Pumpkin Eggnog – Holiday Party Favorite

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 cup bourbon
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine milk, heavy cream, pumpkin puree, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger over medium heat. Stir until heated through.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together eggs and vanilla extract. Slowly add warm milk mixture to the eggs while whisking.
  3. Return the combined mixture to the saucepan and cook until slightly thickened.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in bourbon. Chill before serving.

Notes

  • For a non-alcoholic version, omit bourbon.
  • Serve with a sprinkle of cinnamon on top.
