Slow Cooker Mongolian Beef

A delicious and easy recipe for Mongolian beef made in a slow cooker, perfect for a comforting meal.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds flank steak, sliced thin
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon minced ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 2 green onions, chopped

Instructions

  1. In a slow cooker, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, water, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes.
  2. Add the sliced flank steak, stirring to coat with the sauce.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
  4. During the last 30 minutes of cooking, add the chopped green onions.
  5. Serve over rice or noodles.

Notes

  • For a thicker sauce, mix 1 tablespoon of cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of water and stir into the slow cooker during the last 30 minutes of cooking.
