  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup Halloween sprinkles

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until fully combined.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  5. Fold in the Halloween sprinkles.
  6. Divide the dough into two logs, wrap in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
  7. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  8. Slice the chilled logs into 1/4-inch thick slices, place on the prepared baking sheet.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  10. Allow to cool before serving.
