  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 teaspoons instant yeast

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add flour, salt, and softened butter to the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
  5. Punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf. Place it in a greased loaf pan.
  6. Cover and let it rise again until it rises above the edge of the pan, about 30-45 minutes.
  7. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Remove from oven, let cool in the pan for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
