Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, cream together the butter and sugar.
  3. Add the eggs and pumpkin puree, mixing until well combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan.
  7. Bake for 60-70 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Let cool before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add chopped walnuts or chocolate chips.
  • Store bread in an airtight container at room temperature.
