Quick and Easy Cherry Cream Cheese Danishes

Ingredients

  • 1 package cream cheese
  • 1 cup cherry pie filling
  • 1 package refrigerated crescent dough
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, vanilla extract, and half of the cherry pie filling.
  3. Roll out the crescent dough and cut into triangles.
  4. Place a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture on wide end of each triangle, then fold the sides over to form a danish.
  5. Brush with egg wash and place on a baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Once baked, top with remaining cherry pie filling and sprinkle with powdered sugar.

Notes

  • Feel free to use other fruit fillings instead of cherry.
  • For a sweeter taste, add more powdered sugar to the cream cheese mixture.
