  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon clove
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup cold unsalted butter, cubed
  • 1/2 cup canned pumpkin puree
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, and salt.
  3. Cut in butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together pumpkin, cream, egg, and vanilla.
  5. Stir the wet mixture into the dry ingredients until just combined.
  6. Turn dough onto a floured surface and knead gently.
  7. Shape dough into a circle and cut into triangles.
  8. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes.
