- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, melt the butter and stir in the brown sugar until dissolved. Add the pecans and stir to coat.
- Pour the mixture into the bottom of a cake pan.
