  • 1 cup buttermilk

  • 10 Oreo cookies, crushed
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 5 Oreo cookies, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin pan with cupcake liners.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add in the vegetable oil, buttermilk, eggs, and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  4. Fold in the crushed Oreo cookies.
  5. Evenly distribute the batter into the cupcake liners.
  6. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Allow cupcakes to cool completely.
  8. For the frosting, whip the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
  9. Frost the cooled cupcakes and top with a half Oreo cookie for garnish.

Notes

  • For a sweeter frosting, add more powdered sugar to taste.
