- 6 slices turkey bacon
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 28 ounces crushed tomatoes
- 15 ounces ricotta cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon dried oregano
- 1 tablespoon fresh basil, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the ziti pasta according to package instructions until al dente; drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, cook turkey bacon until crispy; remove and crumble.
- In the same skillet, heat olive oil, then sauté onion and garlic until softened.
- Add crushed tomatoes, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper; simmer for 5 minutes.
- In a large bowl, combine cooked pasta, crumbled turkey bacon, ricotta cheese, and half of the mozzarella.
- Pour the tomato sauce over the pasta mixture; stir to combine.
- Transfer to a baking dish, top with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
