Italian Mozzarella-Stuffed Meatloaf

A delicious twist on classic meatloaf, featuring melted mozzarella and turkey bacon.

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 4 strips turkey bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1/2 cup marinara sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, eggs, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Mix well until fully combined.
  4. Form half of the mixture into a loaf on a baking sheet.
  5. Place mozzarella cheese and crumbled turkey bacon in the center and cover with the remaining meat mixture.
  6. Spread marinara sauce on top.
  7. Bake for 1 hour or until cooked through.
  8. Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
