Homemade Pasta Carbonara with Bacon

A delicious and healthier take on classic carbonara using turkey bacon.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces spaghetti
  • 4 strips turkey bacon
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Cook spaghetti according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a skillet, cook turkey bacon until crisp. Remove and crumble.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together eggs, Parmesan cheese, garlic, salt, and pepper.
  4. Add spaghetti to the skillet with bacon and remove from heat.
  5. Quickly pour egg mixture over spaghetti, stirring to create a creamy sauce.
  6. Garnish with parsley before serving.
