This homemade pasta carbonara recipe offers a delicious twist by using turkey bacon, making it indulgent yet lighter.

  • 200 grams spaghetti
  • 100 grams turkey bacon, diced
  • 2 large eggs
  • 50 grams grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Boil water in a large pot and cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and add the diced turkey bacon. Cook until crispy.
  3. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 1 minute.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together eggs and Parmesan cheese.
  5. Once the pasta is cooked, reserve some pasta water and drain the rest.
  6. Add the hot pasta to the skillet with turkey bacon and garlic, mixing well.
  7. Remove the skillet from heat and quickly stir in the egg and cheese mixture, adding reserved pasta water as needed to create a creamy sauce.
  8. Season with salt and black pepper to taste before serving.

Notes

  • For a richer sauce, add more cheese.
  • Serve immediately for the best texture.
