A comforting and delicious twist on a classic dish, featuring turkey bacon for added flavor.

  • 1 pound elbow macaroni
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 cups milk
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup cooked turkey bacon, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook macaroni according to package instructions; drain.
  3. In a large pot, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour and cook for about 1 minute.
  4. Gradually whisk in milk, cooking until thickened.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in cheese until melted.
  6. Add macaroni and turkey bacon, stirring to combine.
  7. Transfer to a baking dish and bake for 25-30 minutes, until bubbly.

Notes

  • For a crispy topping, sprinkle additional cheese before baking.
