  • 2 pounds beef chuck roast
  • 1 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 cup beef broth

Instructions

  1. Place the beef chuck roast in the slow cooker.
  2. In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes.
  3. Pour the sauce mixture over the beef, then add the beef broth.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the meat is tender.
  5. Remove the beef and shred with two forks, then return to the slow cooker and mix with the sauce.
