  • 4 slices turkey bacon, diced
  • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables
  • 1/3 cup onion, chopped
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • 1 3/4 cups chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 pie crusts

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a large skillet, cook the turkey bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  3. Add onions and mixed vegetables to the skillet, cooking until soft.
  4. Stir in the flour, mixing well, and cook for 1 minute.
  5. Gradually add chicken broth and milk, stirring continuously until the mixture thickens.
  6. Add cooked chicken, garlic powder, thyme, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Stir until well combined.
  7. Place one pie crust in a pie dish and fill with the chicken mixture. Cover with the second pie crust, sealing the edges.
  8. Cut slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape.
  9. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
  10. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
