Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with liners.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk, starting and ending with the flour.
  7. Fill each cupcake liner about 2/3 full with the batter.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Let cool before frosting.
