  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine chopped dates and boiling water. Stir in baking soda and set aside to cool.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and both sugars until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla extract, mixing well.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt together.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the date mixture until combined.
  6. Pour batter into the crockpot, cover, and cook on low for 4-6 hours or until set.
