Creamy Tomato Garlic Rigatoni Pasta Recipe

A rich and flavorful creamy tomato garlic rigatoni pasta dish made with turkey bacon.

  • 8 ounces rigatoni pasta
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (14.5 ounces) crushed tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Cook the rigatoni pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, cook the turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and chop into pieces.
  3. In the same skillet, heat olive oil and sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
  4. Add crushed tomatoes, heavy cream, and Italian seasoning. Stir to combine.
  5. Let the sauce simmer for about 5 minutes, then season with salt and pepper.
  6. Add the cooked rigatoni and chopped turkey bacon to the skillet, stirring to coat.
  7. Remove from heat and mix in fresh basil and Parmesan cheese before serving.

Notes

  • For a vegetarian version, omit the turkey bacon.
  • Use fresh tomatoes instead of canned for a fresher taste.
