Cinnamon Roll Cupcakes

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with liners.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. Add the milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  4. Fill the cupcake liners about 2/3 full with the batter.
  5. Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  6. Allow the cupcakes to cool completely before frosting.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, add a dash of nutmeg to the batter.
  • Top with cream cheese frosting for extra indulgence.
