  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with liners.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the caramel sauce and chocolate chips.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared cupcake liners, filling them about 2/3 full.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Allow cupcakes to cool before drizzling with additional caramel sauce.

Notes

  • These cupcakes can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
  • For an extra touch, top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of sea salt.
