- 1 cup canned pumpkin puree
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 large eggs
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
- In a large bowl, mix the pumpkin, granulated sugar, brown sugar, vegetable oil, and eggs until well combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the pumpkin mixture and stir until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Divide the batter among the muffin cups, filling them about 2/3 full.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
